What Are Common Air Conditioning Problems?
Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is here with a few of the most usual cooling problems in Longmont.
If you can hear your air conditioner operating but there isn’t cool air being produced, you may need to have your refrigerant levels checked. Refrigerant is what helps make sure the air blowing from your air conditioner is actually cool. Call Service Experts and we’ll come out and review your refrigerant levels and look into why your system is not giving off cool air.
The reason your condenser fan might not be rotating could be that it simply burned out and you need to replace the fan. Humidity tends to cause more condensation so a second problem to watch for is that the water is not draining correctly or that the drain is restricted. If you can check these issues, you may be able to find the culprit; if not, give Service Experts a call and we can look into what has stopped your condenser fan from rotating and go over your options to get your system working again.
First, try lowering the temperature on your thermostat. It sounds ridiculous but sometimes we overlook the obvious. If that doesn’t get your A/C cooling, check the air filter. If the air filter is dirty, it could cause major cooling problems. Another thing that could cause your lack of cooling is that your HVAC system is not sized properly, and unfortunately this is a common issue when homes are constructed. Service Experts will come out and conduct an analysis to determine if the size of your equipment is causing your troubles.
If your AC is short cycling, or turning on or off constantly, it could mean one of several things. One is that your condenser or evaporator is dirty and in need of cleaning. Once the system is cleaned and all clogs removed, you may be back in business. Note that humidity also plays a piece so if your home cools to the correct temperature, but then the humidity causes your home to warm back up, it could result in on-again, off-again air conditioning because the equipment is having to work harder to keep your home at a lower temperature.
No matter your issue, whatever air conditioner trouble you run into, Service Experts is here for you 24 hours a day so we can get you comfortable quickly.
