I talked with another AC company and they said replace the $8 air filter. I did and the AC is working perfectly now. This seems extremely unethical that Service Experts would try to make me pay $12-$18K when all was needed was a new furnace filter to increase the air flow. I had to pay over $200 to have Service Experts try to scam me. I've been a customer for over 15 years, never again would I trust this company. Its as close to stealing as posible."

I had appointments pre-scheduled for June 3 and October 1 made months ago. My understanding of the plan is that it would cover these two service appointments as I started up and closed down the cooling season, and that I would be given preferred pricing on parts. I received a call 30 min. before the June 3 appointment that the company could no longer service the cooler because of its roof configuration. Happily, the technician reluctantly agreed to get me up and running for the summer, installed a small replacement part and gave me a bill for $250. I was told I would have to locate another company for the next service and that the October appointment would be cancelled. I spoke with office staff asking that my monthly fees, designed to cover the service, be refunded, as I paid a generous price for the service visit, which I understood was covered by the monthly agreement. I was told that that would not be the case and that I would not receive the requested refund. The handling of this change in policy was poorly thought out and unfair. I will not be using Service Experts again or referring the company to others; I suspect that other affected customers will share my feelings. I did not know that this appointment was going to take an hour and a half until the technician showed up to my house. At the end of the service I was then told that my air conditioner had a leak and that the technician, Tim, was not able to fix it but that he would have a service tech out to my house that afternoon to make the repair. By 5 PM no one had shown up at my house. I then called the office and the gal that took my call did not see any notes about having to need a repair man to fix a leak. She told me that she would look into it and give me a call back. No one called me back so the next morning I called the office again. I got a different lady and she told me that again there were no notes on my account regarding any repairs needed. I again told her that I was told there was a leak in my air conditioner and I explain to her the details of what was happening. I had to make another appointment with her but couldnt get anybody to my house for another two days. Unfortunately I wasnt going to be able to be home but I was told that wasnt a problem as long as I had the Linux app on my phone which I do. The day of my appointment I had a window from 10 to 12. Nobody showed up during that time span so I again called the office. I was told that they were running late. I finally got a call at around 130 and was told that the service tech, James, knew nothing about a leak. His information was that the coils needed to be cleaned. When he arrived at my house the air conditioner had turned off. And he was concerned that the computer board needed to be replaced as apparently this model of air conditioner has been having a problem with this board. He did get the air conditioner turned back on and then noticed the pressure on the air conditioner was down and did let me know there had to be a leak but that hit he had no parts or time to make the repair. He then filled up the coolant with around 2 pounds of pressure. He then told me he would make sure that the office knew that I needed to have a technician to come out and repair the leak. I waited one business day for someone to call. And guess what. No one dead. Surprise surprise. I then called on Tuesday and spoke to Wayne. Again there was nothing written in my record and he told me that he would speak to both Tim and James. I made another appointment for this coming Friday. I have no idea whats actually going to happen at this appointment or if anyones going to even know what is going on. It appears to me the right hand has no clue what the left hand is doing. Unfortunately I am an advantage customer so I am stuck using service experts. My furnace and air conditioner are only one year old and I wouldnt have expected a leak. But even with the leak as an advantage member I wouldve expected top right service not this circus act. Im very disappointed and Im not looking forward to working With this company for the next 10 years of my contract"

I had an Aprilaire 800 installed on Jan 2. I have no issue with the service on the furnace. I think the way the failure of the old humidifier and lack of service available and lack of discount on the new unit is not the kind of treatment I expected from Service Masters. I purchased the previous unit on Service Experts recommendation, something which should carry the weight of we support what we sell. But in this case, you don't. I have no issues with the installation work performed by ServiceExperts on the AprilAire. Regrettably, the installation was delayed because the electrician did not arrive on time. Eventually the unit was connected, but the process of installing a subpanel was delayed to some vague time in the future (which better be before the Air Conditioner is needed."
